When was the last time you stopped?
When did you last take some time (day(s), weeks) to pause and reflect?
As a Taker, we a pro workout out, moving the body and being active!
But one thing we know is that a lack of sleep can cause physical and mental health and cognitive decline.
A lot of research has proved that mindfulness, meditation and rest has therapeutic health benefits and may enhance mental health.
You can use mindfulness to clear and recharge your mind and body.
It's so easy to just continue going every day without pausing and reflecting. We can get engulfed in the hustle and bustle of life, that we may neglect ourselves. We need to dedicate time to assess ourselves! - figure out our strengths and weakness and encourage a more efficient growth.
Rest and exercise
Research shows Recovery/rest between intense workouts is imperative as the muscle tissue repair is required for muscle growth. Muscle tissue repair typically happens between 24 to 72 hours.
As well as nutrition, hydration and exercise, sleep is also one of the main pillars of recovery.
It’s important we pay good attention to our body and listen to it as its usually good at telling us if there is an issue.
Rest is a vital part of growth for us to allow growth, we must also rest and see it as a part of your therapy to being stronger, fitter - Both Mentally and Physically.
It MUST be seen as part of growth.
