Getting a balanced diet doesn’t have to be such a difficult thing!
The African and Caribbean diet gets so much bad reviews, we forget how nutritious they can be.
Where the problem may lie is in the portion sizes, which can be re-evaluated and how we combine the food.
In this post, we've used basic meals within an afrocaribbean household to get a balanced diet.
What you need:
- Long beans
- x2 Boiled eggs
- Baked beans or your favourite sauce options
- Steam cook the plantain preserve the nutritional value and its sweet taste.
- Steam the vegetables - you can add a pinch of salt if you prefer
- Boil your eggs
- Heat up your beans as preffered
- Serve as desired.
